About this guide
Privacy at Kitchen's Open
Kitchen's Open keeps almost nothing about the people who read it. The hour-and-night tool on the home page reads the time on the reader's own device and sends nothing anywhere.

What stays behind
One thing is kept: the theme choice. A reader who switches the page theme sets a preference that stays in the open browser tab only. It is not sent to the Last Orders Desk or to anyone else.
There are no forms on the site, no accounts and no email address. Nobody is asked for a name. The site does not ask for the reader's location, and it does not read it either. Picking an hour and a night in the home page tool needs no location at all.
Leaving the site
Links to casinos and help services are never paid. Casinos, restaurants, BCLC, PlayNow, TransLink and help services never pay this site.
Only the home page carries paid links, marked Ad, and all of them lead to the same private online casino partner. The site earns a commission from that partner, and the partner can change. Its own privacy rules apply once a reader arrives there. It is not PlayNow and is not run or licensed by the province. A BC resident who plays there has none of the provincial protections.
Questions at the counter
Does the clock tool know where a reader is?
No, the site does not ask for or read the reader's location. The tool works from the time on the reader's own device and sends nothing anywhere.
What happens to the theme choice?
It stays in the open browser tab only. Nothing about it is sent to the site or anywhere else, and there is no account to save it to.
